TMS Clinics Australia (TMSCA) are leaders in the delivery of evidence-based repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment. Our mission is to ensure that access to standardised, high quality TMS treatment is available to all patients who may benefit. We have the largest network of clinics in Australia delivering state-of-the-art therapy in an outpatient setting and we pride ourselves on our collaborative care approach - operating as part of a multidisciplinary team led by our psychiatrists.

 

About the role
TMSCA are recruiting for a sessional psychiatrists to assist with ensuring patients have access to treatment on a timely basis, and that assessments are comprehensive and delivered to patients’ and their healthcare teams at regular intervals during their treatment.

TMSCA psychiatrists undergo training on TMS and TMSCA-specific protocols. Their role is to undertake initial and follow up assessments of patients referred for and engaged in TMS and other TMSCA therapies, via telehealth – or in clinic if/where practicable.

TMSCA psychiatrists are supported by our Medical Advisory Committee, chaired by Professor Paul Fitzgerald, and are provided with ongoing professional development. TMSCA psychiatrists are also invited to lead TMSCA peer-to-peer activities, and lead educational activities for GPs and psychologists from time to time.

 

To be eligible, applicants must have:
• A high interest in TMS
• Current, unconditional AHPRA registration
• Unrestricted Medicare Provider number
• Experience or willingness to participate in telehealth assessments
• Be available for a minimum of 4 hours per week
